Before you travel
Refer to the Queensland Government, Department of Health information about Travel Health and the Coronavirus (COVID-19) health alert.
Seek travel health advice from the QUT Medical Centre or other travel specialist medical services. A list of vaccinations for travel is available on the Immunisations page.
Overseas vaccination procedure
- the first appointment is made with a nurse at QUT Medical Centre. This appointment takes about 20 minutes and can be done over the phone. The nurse will obtain and send all travel details to MASTA (Medical Advisory Services for Travellers Abroad)
- the next appointment is made with the doctor at least 48 hours later to allow time for the information to be received from MASTA
- you need to bring as much of your vaccination history as you can obtain with you for your consultation with the doctor
- payments for vaccinations are made with reception prior to administration
