Mental Health Nurses
All mental health nurses with the QUT Medical Centre work across both campuses.
QUT Mental Health Nurses work with students to help them find and navigate appropriate mental health support services. This free and confidential service provides individual support for emerging and enduring mental health conditions that are significantly impacting a student’s ability to function and succeed at university. Our nurses provide interim and intensive support while students are being linked to longer-term services, assess their mental health support needs, and connect them with appropriate and relevant mental health services
The mental health nurses are only available to enrolled QUT students.
Unfortunately, alumni, QUT staff, general public patients and withdrawn students are not able to access appointments with our mental health nurses - if you require mental health support, please book an appointment with one of our GPs for a referral to a mental health professional.
QUT Staff are able to access the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for free counselling sessions. For more information, please see Counselling services for staff
There is also Mindfulness Sessions that are available to register within QUT through Unihub: Mindfulness - Student - QUT Portal
